Jackie is a bilingual Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who began her career volunteering in the Child Life department at Miami Children's Hospital, in 2007. It was there that she developed a passion for helping children. Jackie later discovered the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and loved that she could make a difference in the lives of others through the application of science.
Since then, Jackie has worked with children and adults with a wide array of developmental disabilities and disorders, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and other neurological conditions. She has great success working alongside parents, teachers, and therapists from other fields to help her clients reach their highest potential. By implementing the principles of ABA, Jackie decreases maladaptive behaviors and increases functional behaviors to improve the quality of life of her clients and their families.
Jackie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Florida International University and completed her Master of Science degree in Counseling, with a concentration in Advanced Applied Behavior Analysis, with highest honors, from Nova Southeastern University in 2015.
